With all of our lives being affected by this coronavirus, we wanted to update all of you on how it is affecting our business and what that means for you as a customer.
As of now, our daily operations are running full steam ahead. How is that possible? Well, we aren't your traditional furniture manufacturer. The upholstery, metalwork, and woodwork are all made by independent craftspeople in and around mid-Missouri, with just our metal legs and casters being imported. Each product is then assembled in our workshop by our founder, Pack, and his son-in-law, Nathan, with the occasional help of friends. All marketing, design work, order management, and basically any daily operations that require a computer are done by us remotely.
Since our work has always had a "work from home" component, and our team is so small, we are easily able to follow the current CDC guidelines. That said, should our craftspeople and suppliers have to close shop or make adjustments to their workflows, we may have to slow down a bit. But, until then, it's business as usual.
Don't get us wrong, we are aware that we are extremely fortunate to be in a position to continue working. Many of our friends and family are really feeling the strain of this pandemic. We are sending love to our community, and give thanks to our first responders, health care workers, educators, and those in the service industry. This is a difficult time, and it is up to all of us to work together by maintaining healthy spacing and social distancing.
